The Franklin Science and Technology Fair will present a collection of student exhibits, each of which presents the results of a student’s own independent research in an area of science or technology. Although students may enter up to two projects if desired, we strongly encourage each student to put his or her best work into a single project.
You may submit either individual (one-person) or partnered (two-person) exhibits. Partnered exhibits will be judged and awarded separately from individual exhibits. Only individual exhibits will be eligible for most special awards.
On Friday afternoon, starting at 4:00 PM, participants will check in at the registration tables at WAMS (Waynesboro Area Middle School) and set up their exhibits. Judging of the exhibits will be done Friday evening, and exhibit rooms will be open to the public on Saturday. All Category and Special Awards will be presented at the awards ceremony on Saturday. Exhibits must be removed Saturday afternoon.
Selection of the Science Fair Champion and Grand Champion will be based on a separate competition to be held the following weekend. First place category winners in the Junior and Senior Divisions are eligible for this additional competition and should plan on participating. Click on ‘Championship’ under the ‘Fair Info’ for important details.
Be sure to read and understand ALL information on this website – especially the rules – before you register. Entries that do not conform to the rules may be disqualified. Registration is required.
